Installation, using the app, and how to reach support.

Installing LTC Check

  1. Download the DMG from your purchase confirmation page or email.
  2. Open the DMG.
  3. Drag LTC Check into Applications.
  4. Open LTC Check from Applications.

Because LTC Check is a small independently-distributed application, the first time you open it macOS may show a warning that it is from an unidentified developer. To open it: right-click (or Control-click) the app in Applications, choose Open, then confirm Open in the dialog that appears. You only need to do this once.

Using LTC Check

  1. Open LTC Check.
  2. Drop an LTC/SMPTE WAV file onto the window.
  3. Wait for analysis to finish - this runs entirely on your Mac.
  4. Read the report: overall status, frame rate, start/end timecode, and any issues found.

Understanding your report

Each issue in a report includes where it occurs in the file (in seconds and in timecode), the expected and actual timecode, and how many frames were affected. This is intended to help you locate the problem in the source file - for example in the DAW session or export that produced it - rather than just flag that a problem exists.

Downloads

Your download link is valid for 72 hours after purchase and can be used up to 5 times. It's also sent to the email address you used at checkout, so you can come back to it later on your Mac. If your link has expired or you've lost the email, contact support@ltccheck.com with your purchase email address or order reference and we'll reissue it.
